Serve these breadsticks with soups, chili or any Italian main dish!
Ingredients
- 1 package Fleischmann's® Simply Homemade® Italian Herb No Knead Bread Mix
- 3/4 cup very warm water (120º to 130ºF)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 3 tablespoons butter OR margarine, melted
- Grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Directions
Combine bread mix and yeast in large bowl; stir to combine. Add very warm water and oil, stir with a spoon until a ball forms (dough may be stiff).
In the same bowl, use your hands to flatten the dough, then fold it in half. Continue to flatten and fold for a total of 10 to 20 times. Place dough on a clean dry counter and divide into 12 equal pieces. Using your hands, roll each piece into a 6 to 8-inch long breadstick. Place breadsticks on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
Cover breadsticks with a towel; place in a warm area for 45 minutes. Dough will rise but not double in size.
Brush breadsticks with half of the melted butter. Bake in preheated 400°F oven for 14 to 16 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven; place on a wire rack. Brush with remaining melted butter and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese, if desired.
