A great everyday treat!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter OR margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 package SH Double Chocolate Bread & Muffin Mix
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F. 

Beat butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg.  Add muffin mix and continue mixing just until combined.  Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.  Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the dges are set and the tops have turned dull and cracked. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Variation:  For chocolate peanut butter cookies, replace the butter with ½ cup of peanut butter and the chocolate chips with peanut butter chips.
